Lough Road Yoga

and relaxation

I have a small yoga studio/space in my house, which holds 14-16 people. Mats, belts and blocks are provided, plus some other yoga accessories, such as seats, eye masks and blankets.

I first started yoga about 15 years ago with Lynda Gregg in Lisburn. I loved it from the first class, and it has been a constant help for me in my life, with all it's ups and downs!

I completed a Hatha Yoga teacher training course at Santosha Training Studio with Paddy Hamill in 2014, in Lisburn, which allows me to teach adults. I have also trained further with Carol Murphy and Green Lotus Yoga, doing an advanced course in Yoga Therapy. I qualified to teach kids and families with Rainbow Kids Yoga in 2014 as well.

I trained last year under Josh Summers, who travels the world bringing his approach to Yin Yoga. I found his teaching amazingly helpful and it has changed the way I teach and practice. With every teacher I am drawn to I learn something new. Yoga is an amazing journey to be on, and I hope to be a student myself for the rest of my life.

I am qualified in Pregnancy and Post Natal Yoga and baby massage since 2015.

I am qualified to Master Level in Reiki.

I trained in Indian Head Massage and seated acupressure massage with Suzanne Cromie at the Gateway workshops in Belfast.

The classes are for men and women, young and old. Teenage children are welcome with the parents.

I live in Upper Ballinderry, near to Glenavy, Crumlin, Lower Ballinderry and Stoneyford. It's not far to Lisburn, about 5 miles.

My insurance is with the Yoga Alliance.

Katlyn Crawford

Tessa is an experienced Sound Therapist and also has a background in working as a DJ and producing music. This has given her an opportunity to travel all over the UK and also further afield. She is really wellknow in the greater Belfast area, where she delivers regular Sound Bath sessions. I first met Tessa at one of these Sound Baths, and I immediately was drawn to her warm personalilty and great laugh. We organise Sound Relaxation Sessions at the studio, and we have also done this in a family yoga session too. If you are interested in what she does, take a look at her website or get in touch with her. The sessions are different for everyone but Tessa is well able to guide everyone through the sound bath journey. Tessa has also qualified recently as a Yoga teacher.

Gill Bann has been teaching swimming for many years now, and she takes both the adult swimming lessons and the Aquanatal yoga. She works for Lisburn City Council as a baby and children swimming teacher. She also is passionate about pregnancy and post natal care for women, which led her to study with Birthlight to become one of the first Aquanatal teachers in Northern Ireland. Gill has a great way of putting people at ease, and so is especially popular in our adult swim sessions!

She teaches Aquanatal yoga in Lisburn Swimming Pool every Thursday afternoon, and takes the swim part of the pregnancy yoga course here. She is also a qualified yoga teacher!
