Lough Road Yoga Terms and Conditions

Please read these before signing up for an online course or class at the studio.

General

Inform the teacher of any injuries or conditions before class, or of any changes.

Female Students: If you think you may be pregnant, please inform the teacher.

Please fill in the online form for the class before starting, you will receive this by email before you begin. It is important that you fill this in honestly and give me a full picture of your health. All answers will be treated in the strictest confidence.

All classes should be paid for up front, either for a block or pay as you go. I take bank transfer or paypal and I have an online booking system.  I accept cash paid in advance. To book a class, course or event, please use one of these methods.

A block is valid for the specified length only, from the date of purchase.

If you are unable to use the block for medical reasons, then a doctor’s note/evidence must be produced before a refund is made or extension given.

This should be done before the block goes out of date.

Any refunds, rescheduling or extensions are at the teacher’s discretion. A refund due to cancellation is minus the booking fee.

Credit from an unused class cannot be carried over to another following course, as the recording is available.

No refunds can be made otherwise (ie holidays or nonattendance). This applies to courses as well as drop in classes.

If you miss a class, the recording is available to do at home.  The class cannot be carried over to another class.

Cancellations made 1 week in advance of the start date - full refund

Cancellations within 48 hours of the start date - 50 % refund (minus booking fee)

Cancellation within 24 hours - no refund available

Please leave your phones in the car, I prefer no phones in the class. Part of coming to yoga is all about switching off.

If it is your first class, you will receive my address after you book. Please make sure that you have planned enough time to arrive here in time. Once the class starts, I will not be able to take phone calls. If you do arrive late, and we are doing relaxation, please wait until the relaxation is over, then I will come out and bring you in. This is to not disturb the others and also because I record the sessions.

If I haven’t got enough people to run a course, I will often delay the start by a few weeks so that I can get more students signed up.

If this happens, and the new dates do not suit, you will be given a full refund. Otherwise, I will transfer you to the delayed course.

I reserve the right to only run a course when I have enough students to make it viable.

I work part time as a doula, so occasionally I may have to miss a class when I am attending a birth. When this happens, I will send a prerecorded class to make up for the missed class.

If I have to miss a class due to illness, I will also send a prerecorded class.

Please hold on to your booking confirmation with the dates, and if possible, add the course to your calendar on your phone or email, so that you can keep track of the course dates. It is your responsibility to know when it starts and ends, and the dates that it is running on.

I will add you to the what’s app group for the course you are attending. Please don’t text the group too early or too late. If you have to text early or late on, just send me a private message. Sometimes people have their phones on for different reasons, so I ask everyone to be respectful of group texts.

You are free to leave the group at any time.

I’ve never had any issue with the what’s app groups, I only use them to keep everyone up to date with what is happening. I don’t really use them as a chat group. I ask everyone to be polite when using the groups.

I will send you a message by email and by text when a course is coming to an end, to inform you of how to sign up for the next one. Please keep an eye out for these and check your junk mail. This reduces the need for me to reply to messages asking for the dates and when the next course is starting.

Online

Please respect the privacy of everyone in the group and do not take screenshots or photos without permission

You can come into the sessions with your mic and video on or off, but make sure that you are able to see and hear me.

If you come into the session after it has started, then make sure that you are muted.

Have your devices charged fully

If you are using your own props, do so with care.

A yoga mat is preferable, or a non-slip surface, and it is best done without socks (unless they are socks with grips)

Please wear appropriate yoga gear

Clear a safe space for your practice, making sure to move anything that might obstruct your practice out of the way and to a safe distance

If you are burning candles or incense, keep them away from inflammable materials

Use your own judgement in the online class, only do what is right for your body, and come out of poses if you need to.

Please ask questions at the end of an online class, unless there is a technical issue

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
