You can use the ball during pregnancy and hopefully during birth, depending on the type of birth you choose and also where you give birth. These classes give you an idea of the variety of things that can be done on them.
Traditional yoga on the ball

You will need a gym ball for this one, and if you have pelvic pain, then you can use a rolled up towel or a small ball between the knees. also have the usual pillows and cushions for relaxation. for all stages of pregnancy.
Ball Class Part 2
Part 2 of using the ball, as well some kriyas or actions that produce a particular result in yoga, and a breathing practice too. Slow, steady breath really helps to keep stress levels and heart rate down, in particular the 6 breaths per minute. You will also need a belt and some cushions for this class, as well as the ball.
