Level 1 Library

All the Classics

We revisit some of the traditional backbone postures of yoga, such as warriors, triangle, cobra, boat, bow, plus some sun salutations. No props needed, except a cushion if you use one for seated postures. 75 minutes.

 
 

Side Body Tune Up

This is a level 1 class, focusing primarily on the muscles of the side body, so we incorporate lots of side bends and twists. Make sure that you have a cushion for sitting on and also a belt or strap. It is 72 minutes long.

 

Fingers And Toes

This is a level 1 class, focusing on touching the toes in lying down, seated and standing postures. You will need a belt or strap for this, and of course saying goes yoga isn't about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down!

 

No weight bearing class

This is a level 1 yoga practice, that for the most part involves no weight bearing, just a short cat/cow section, so if you are experiencing wrist issues, you can still practice yoga! It's not all downward facing dogs and planks! You will need a strap/belt/scarf and a cushion. Also if you like to be really warm during relaxation, you can use a blanket. 75 minutes.

Be a Tree!

Warming the body up to prepare for the Vrkrasana posture in yoga, which everyone knows as Tree pose. It can be a challenge to find the balance, so feel free to use a bit of wall space and just breathe! This is a level 1 class.

 
 

Full Moon Class Level 1

This practice takes us through all the postures that are cooling and linked to the moon, although there is a fair amount of heat built up during the class. Level 1 and 75 minutes long. You might need a cushion. Apologies as there is a part of the video that is very dark! but it brightens up again.

Journey through the Asanas

Asana means posture, and we explore a few of the well known ones in yoga. This is suitable for all levels and is roughly 75 minutes long. Have a cushion to hand for extra support.

Yoga for every body with Garudasana

Building up to the standing balance Garudasana, we warm up with lying down, seated and standing postures. Suitable for all levels. 75 minutes long.

Yoga Basics

This practice is 75 minutes long and is suitable for all levels. As always, have a cushion at hand for seated postures or extra suppot.

Traditional Hatha Yoga

Traditional Hatha allows for resting between postures, focus on the breath and exploring each posture individually. This class is 75 minutes long.

 

Shoulder opening class

Give your shoulders some much needed TLC! You will need a belt for this class, it is 75 minutes long.

 

Yoga Basics - Hips

Welcome to this back to basics class, suitable for a complete beginner to yoga. The pace will suit everyone, and you can practice this as many times as you like. you will need a strap and possibly a cushion. The practice is 75 minutes.

Yoga for every body with the belt

Make sure that you have a belt for this practice, as we target the shoulders in particular, but the whole body in general. Plus the added bonus of a bit of pranayama at the end. 75 minutes.

Introduction to Ladder Flow

Ladder flow builds on one pose after another, until you have a whole sequence to go back over and get absorbed in.

Rotator Cuff Tune Up

You need a belt and a bit of wall space for this practice, and let’s give the rotator cuff muscles a good tune up!

 

Back to breathing

Sometimes in yoga we focus on the postures and don’t pay much attention to the breathing, so we slow it down and make the breath the centre of this practice. This is a 75 minute class.

Yoga Basics Twists

This is a great way to free up those knots around the spine and the lower back.

 

Revitalise your spine

Take care of your spine, as it holds the key to our youth and vitality! This 75 minute class is centred around the spine and all of its movements.

 

All the warriors

This is a one hour class, for levels 1-2, and it incorporates all the warrior poses along with a bit of flow yoga.

 

Sunday Morning Practice

An all round great morning practice, suitable for all levels. 60 minutes long.

 
 

Hatha Yoga for all

Nothing but traditional style yoga, with stretches, sun salutations, standing balances, shoulder and hip work and pranayama practices. It is 80 minutes long and we use a belt and 2 bricks but of course it can be done without. Suitable for all levels.

 
 

Set aside the outside world.

At this time, we are constantly being given bad news, and there is so much confusion and anxiety about the future, so in this class I encourage you to connect with your breath and to exist in a healthier state of being. You will need a cushion if you need one for sitting and to support the knees. 75 minutes long.

 
 

Cup Half Full

This class is all about looking after yourself and thinking about what you need. It is a level 1 class, suitable for everyone. You will need a strap/scarf plus a cushion. It is 70 minutes long.

 

The Humble Hamstring

This is an all levels class focusing on the back of the legs and the hamstrings. You will need a belt for it plus a block if you have one. 75 minutes long.

Best foot forward

This is a level 1 class, but can feel a bit like moving towards level 2. We use a cushion and we practice postures like pigeon, side plank and core plank, as well as stepping the foot through from down dog to lunge. If you have knee or hip issues, be mindful when we do these practices, as you might need to do a variation. Always be guided by the body!
