Prop Classes
Using props effectively in you yoga practice
In this series of classes, we use an array of props in different way. Props are not cheating and not just for beginners, they can add depth to stretches and give you support in certain poses too. They are a great way to keep your practice interesting and fresh.
Two Bricks
We are going to explore using props, starting with two bricks in this level 2 class. We do a lot of shoulder and hip work here too, to free those tight joints up! We use a strap too and you can use a cushion to sit on if you wish. The class is 75 minutes long. Lot's of lunges, twists and forward bends!
More classes with bricks
This is a level 1 practice, which showcases how to make use of the yoga bricks on the mat. If you don't have any bricks then you can improvise with 2 piles of books, just make sure that they don't move around, and the books may not work so well with the downward dog pose. The class lasts for 70 minute. We also use the belt and a cushion.
I've been working with the bricks this week, so in this class we use them in a flow style practice. You might find that they help or that they get in the way, you can try and decide for yourself! They add a nice bit of support in the half moon and the warrior 3 pose. This is a level 2 class as you need some knowledge of yoga to do it.
